Sermon on Reconciliation
Text: 2 Cor. 5:18-21

1.  Definitions:

     * "To restore a broken relationship; or, make
          friends again."
     * "...primarily, an exchange, denotes reconciliation,
          a change on the part of one party, induced by an
          action on the part of another," -Vines.

2.  What The Text Says:

     (a) RECONCILIATION IS needed because of
          sin: vss.19,21; Isa. 59:1,2.

     (b) RECONCILIATION IS "of God," vs. 18;
          Eph. 2:1-10.

     (c) RECONCILIATION IS possible because
          of Christ's death: v.15,21; 1 Pet. 3:18.

     (d) RECONCILIATION IS the message delivered
          by the apostles: vss.18-20; Eph. 3:1ff.

     (e) RECONCILIATION IS a process demanding
          repentance: vs.15,17; 1 Cor. 6:9-11.
